What a great time of the year! It's hot! It's sunny! It's time to relax a bit!

We should be outside soaking up all that sun and heat. So GenYOTT is coming at you with a bit of a twist: Come on out to the first GenYOTT: Patio Edition! And, to make it even more enticing, there's going to be a special on nachos before 9pm!

This month,we're keeping with the relaxed vibe and skipping the formal speaker. But, we will be making a few special announcements, so stay tuned for that!

What is GenYOTT?

Ready to start something awesome? #GenYOTT is all about social networking - taking an evening to go out and meet great new people in your area, not as a way to find clients or investors (although you may do just that!), but as friends first. Ottawa's a city with no shortage of smart, talented, and awesome people, and one of our primary objectives with starting this up was to get you folks in a room together so you could get to know one another better. This night promises to be a great opportunity for you to meet other ambitious, tech-savvy, and creative Ottawans. If you're planning something interesting in 2010, this is a great opportunity for you to meet someone who can kick your plans into high gear, or just to make some new friends and hang out with some really great people!

#GenYOTT started as being an event propelled by Twitter, and the first few events saw mainly contributors from the Twitter community come out and meet each other. The more recent events have found their way out into the greater community, and the GenYOTT community is now over 300 people strong. Be a part of this movement. Be a part of the future of Ottawa.
